Can I get an Allejuliah?! It's the end of the first full working week of 2013! If you headed back to work this week, give yourself a pat on the back for a week of productivity and hard work or if you're still lucky enough to be lounging around on holidays - give yourself a pat on the back for being awesome. I returned to work and hit the ground running with a million goals and hopes for this year swirling around my brain, most of which I have already actioned and feeling pumped!

I like to make a mental list at the end of each night, when I'm lying in bed waiting for Mr Sandman to dump a whole lot of sleepiness on me, of all the things I am grateful for. Whether they are things/circumstances that I have had for a while, people who I am thankful to have in my life, a new experience or opportunity that I was blessed with that day or simply being grateful for the fact that I'm in a warm bed, cosy, safe and happy. These mental notes o' gratitude help me to put my day, and life, into perspective and realise what an amazing life I'm fortunate enough to lead.

I'd also like to dedicate a small portion of this blog to these little injections (the only type of injection I can handle quite frankly) of happiness, inspiration and gratitude and thought I'd kick off today's with one of my favourite quotes to set the theme of this post -

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." — Melody Beattie.

Blessings from my grateful corner x
